Eastman Gallery is a fine art gallery located in Garwood exhibiting painting, pottery, sculpture, fine art, jewelry, and garden art. Owners Richard Eastman and Eduardo Morales are native Texan artists and offer art classes for both adults adults and children.

Columbus Country Market

The Columbus Country Market is held on the Courthouse Square from 9 a.m. to noon on the last Saturday of the month from March through November. The market promotes healthy food choices while supporting local farmers, gardeners, cooks, bakers, craftspeople, and other artisans. Families will enjoy live music, ready-to-eat foods, and more at this fun community event.

Columbus Municipal Golf Course

Columbus offers a 9-hole course that features tree-lined fairways and water on seven holes, as well as the chance to spot the white-tail deer that frequently roam the course. The design incorporates a good mixture of holes: some play short, but others are of a more standard length.

Hatari Wildlife Park

Hatari Wildlife Park is a 400-acre wildlife park that exhibits some of the rarest animals in the world to promote awareness and conservation. Live Oak Art Center

The Live Oak Art Center offers classes, camps, and after-school programs for children. Young artists can learn about photography, sculpture, painting, drawing, and more. Art workshops for adults are also offered throughout the year.

Nesbitt Memorial Library

The Nesbitt Memorial Library offers traditional and modern library services plus an extensive local history collection, genealogy collection, and Texas history archives.

Splashway Water Park

Splashway is a family water park and campground in Sheridan, just 20 minutes south of Columbus. It offers a variety of attractions including wave pools, kiddie areas, speed slides, mat racers, slides, and a lazy river.Tubes, life jackets, and parking are free.

Waldo’s Camp

The 2-acre private campground at Waldo’s Camp is perfect for those looking to enjoy the great outdoors. The island provides an ideal setting for exploring, wade fishing, treasure hunting and more.
