PARKS IN COLUMBUS

Midtown Park

Midtown Park has a combination of fun activities for the family including Columbus’s brand new Pickleball Court, a basketball court, a skate park, and a playground set. Enjoy an afternoon here with your family!

Beason's Crossing Park

Historic Beason’s Park makes a great picnic spot where you can admire a scenic view along the Colorado River, hang out under the pavilion, or play a pickup game of basketball. River access is available.

Cardinal Park

Cardinal Park, located behind Columbus High School, is a great spot for outdoor fun! Catch a baseball or softball game, enjoy a picnic at the grills, or let the kids play on the playground equipment.

Location: Park St.

Columbus Community Park

Columbus Community Park has plenty to enjoy! Play a game on the covered basketball court, three baseball fields, or five soccer fields. Kids can explore the playground while families gather at picnic areas with grills or relax at the gazebo.

GOLF COURSES IN COLUMBUS

Big Easy Ranch

A members-only 9-hole, par-3 championship golf course located just outside the city limits, Big Easy Ranch’s course features undulating hills and approaches, strategically placed lakes and traps and meticulously maintained greens designed in the tradition of classic courses such as Augusta National, Cypress Point, and Pebble Beach.

Location: 2400 Brunes Mills Rd.

Columbus Municipal Golf Course

A 9-hole golf course in the heart of town. It features tree-lined fairways and water on seven holes, as well as the chance to spot the white-tail deer that frequently roam the course. Be sure to watch out for the ducks that call the pond on #8 home. They can sneak up on you if you’re not careful!

WATER FUN IN COLUMBUS

Texas Paddling Trail

On the mighty Colorado River, the Texas Paddling Trail gives visitors the opportunity to see wildflowers, birds, turtles, and more! This 6.5 mile trail can take from two to five hours to complete and the mixture of peaceful waters and calm rapids equates to a wonderful day on the river.

Columbus City Pool

The city pool is a seasonal destination, open to the public from June - August. It's the perfect spot to cool off during the summer, enjoy a refreshing swim, and make lasting memories with family and friends.
